Releaf Society

Package Design

Releaf Society is a cannabis company based in Salt Lake City, Utah, inspired by the original Relief Society - a philanthropic and educational women's organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, founded in 1842 in Nauvoo, Illinois. Fanny Stenhouse, the other inspirational icon for the packaging, was an early Mormon pioneer who defected from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was most famous for her 1872 publication Exposé of Polygamy in Utah: A Lady's Life among the Mormons. Through irony and old-style illustrations, this packaging marries the two worlds of cannabis and mormon culture.
